Here you to experience the greatest variety and concentration of volcanoes. There is 20,000 cu km of volcanic material ejected from hundreds of vents. You find deep gorges, steep fertile hills geothermal activity and fertile soils that make area this an idyllic place to stay.

We learn to understand the tectonics and magmas that created the different volcanoes and geysers.  Fascinating museums and displays illustrate these phenomena. KANES take interested groups on to an active volcano which erupts every decade or so.

We examine various ash layers from bombs to dust and see the extensive ignimbrite deposits. We find numerous basalt flows, learn about lahars and the delayed dangers and deadly events thee have caused.
