Two nature parks in this zone enable us to view species including kiwis, tuatara, keas, various plants and exotics. The coasts and nature reserved areas help us see understand the land.

Like many small land masses, New Zealand has a range of unusual creatures, that cannot be easily seen during our travels. reserve and parks bring thee to us.

Studies
As we view each of the species we discuss their strengths, and likely reasons for their physical features as their relate to their food, environment and predators. Also of interest are those creatures that have recently been introduced to New Zealand.  They show us how they might be adapting to the new environment and how they may be changing the natural balance of the environment. We see ways of managing those destructive life forms.
