The Kea is a unique alpine parrot.  It is one of the 33 endangered birds of New Zealand birds and is scientifically tested to be the most intelligent non-human animal living today

These beautiful and inquisitive birds frequently befriend visitors in their quest for morsels.  This creature has been proven to be the world's most intelligent animal (after humans - of course) and offers an entertaining display when it thinks food may be available.

(Note:- For the long-term welfare of the species, feeding these parrots is discouraged.)
