Compared with others we will see large deep slow moving glaciers .  They are bigger, flatter, slower and carry more moraine compares to those on the other side of the Alps.

You will be able to understand the main causes of these differences within a few minutes of discussion and by experience many examples of the textbook features for yourself.  If there is time, you might like to walk on a glacier.
