We discover the tenacity and balance of native New Zealand rainforests born during the dinosaur times. Walks in the forest let our imaginations wander to those fearful days. We witness forests growing of the vertical walls of the deep glacier valleys and wonder at the strength of their roots cling on to precarious cracks in the steep granite rock. We explore the wonders of how they feed, survive and eventually fall from the towering valley walls in giant slides of mud and devastation. Frequent avalanches, wind and metres of rain perpetually invade the space.
