Conservation
Mining & Milling Zone
Home Page

In this wetland zone we see how traditional industries have been constantly changing the land's productive ability and economic value. Weeds of gorse and broom have spread over the lands and into the rivers.  (These are attractive to visitors with their bright yellow flowers)

There are two strong opinions
1) To maintain income producing industries
2) To protect the natural flora and fauna for future generations to enjoy and to loose the work homes and futures of the residents  .

Studies
As we travel through the contentious areas we look at each "side's" arguments and observe the various ways they are promoted.  We learn of the compromises developed, and discuss their consequences.
