Alpine Trails Zone's     Geography Studies

Here the high mountain rivers follow glacier valleys and carry vast quantities of bed-load material from the eroding mountains to the ocean and plains. We witness the power of steep fast flowing water carrying huge rocks from the uplifting mountains.

Adventures
We walk to upper course waterfalls clamber over the rocks and taste the purity.  There are opportunities for rafting and jet boats 

Studies
We see the various processes of the gatherings and witness alpine river erosion involved with the "upper courses" of various rivers. KANES  help us experience the extraordinary power of moving water and understand the processes involved with:- floods, controls, Irrigation, etc.  In this zone we follow rivers carving into glacier valleys, learn about the forces that cause the valley walls to collapse and see transportation of mountains to the oceans.
