Alpine Trails Zone's     Geography Studies

Following the Lewis Pass Alpine Trail we pass 3 hot springs areas in this zone.  There are others deep among the mountains.  Choose to experience these relaxing fun time adventures in this  Zone.  Some natural hot springs are accessed by walking trails among the mountains and others near the roads have been developed into tourist resorts.  

Studies help us understand the causes processes, uses and dangers of geothermal springs.  Interested groups visit at least two springs taking a soak in one of them and learning about the processes that cause them to be here.

We can explore the uses, development, administration and see how they are used to encourage tourism.
