The early European realised education was a high priority. They began establishing faculties immediately in every settlement. New Zealand now has 7 universities, along with teaching training facilities, skills training facilities, high schools in all main towns, primary schools within accessible range of most of the population and pre school institutions. Thee are all largely financed by the government with some institutions requiring contributions from their students. Studies: Interested groups view the institutions that or of most interest and have the opportunities available to meet the students and staff. Studies are conducted within this environment. KANES ensure itineraries are coordinated to meet visitors plans with exchange activities arranged with educational institutions. (Holiday and exam times can cause difficulties with these) See also:-
