Days 1 & 2  Christchurch
Finding our New Zealand feet we explore Christchurch, with its colourful English style parks, great Victorian architecture, fun shops and other enjoyable attractions. Nearby are beaches and a large volcano. NOTE: Flight times may affect this plan.

Day 3   Christchurch - Greymouth
Today we pass through the South Island's  towering, ever moving, Southern Alps.  Encounter massive land movements, two high alpine passes and ancient  mountain rain forests . Expect dramatic scenery and weather changes.

Travelling along the world's most spectacular tourist route we rear Podocarp rain forests Dinosaurs in the world's wettest areas. Towering mountains, dominate the glaciers, water falls, lakes and swamps. Check out the special, low priced helicopter ride to the top of a glacier.

Today we journey on over the alpine tussock grasslands of the Lindis Pass and open tundra to the spectacular Mt Cook National Park. Here we encounter mammoth tectonic uplifting, breathtaking alps with cascading avalanches devastating glaciers and iceberg lakes.
