During the gold rush days timber had to be harvested and transported through two rivers and a giant lake. Studies help us gain an understanding of a remote timber industry, its difficulties and dangers to transport it to market by rafts. We discuss the issues behind the difficulty finding timber , view the areas that were eventually milled and discuss the issues that remained with the land. Relics of mills are still decaying in the dry lands.
