In this high rainfall zone, where rain is measured in metres, we see settlements near lakes and waterways coping with regular floods. 

Studies
We look at the history of major floods seeing their photos and their effects. We learn to identify flood prone areas that can be a help for our own house buying guide.  Interested groups examine different flood protection programs seeing how they work, their effectiveness,  weaknesses and long term results.
