We explore the causes and types of volcanoes and different the deposits they leave

Geology
We encounter various types of igneous materials mingled with glacial dust deposits and see how the vast alluvial plains grew because of tectonics, weather intrusions and ocean movements. 

Beaches
Large sand areas, dunes and with volcanic outcrops and wave caves, wetlands, stacks, estuaries and  tidal surges are all encountered here. We look at the conservation requirements and how they are used by people.

Settlement Studies
A delightful seaside town and an historic industrial town offer contrasts and insights into the nature of the local people restaurants and souvenirs. We search out the reasons why one town is growing and the other declining. 

Coast Studies
Witness spits, stacks. estuaries, wave caves, and long shore drifting.   During this study we see how these coastal features benefit the community and are managed to protect them to benefit the community.
