A very rare, genuine steamboat still operates on the big lake here. You can take an inexpensive ride and study the original steam engines and coal fired boilers that power this lovely relic through the crystal lake waters. This living history will demonstrate many principals of physics and chemistry and help you gain a better understanding of them. There are opportunities to meet with the engineer in charge for further information.
